SIERRA DEL SOL

Sierra Del Sol has been a God send for my family! Their facility is beautiful and immaculate! It’s clean and smells like a well kept home. The residents are always smiling and very friendly. I’ve worked as a director in assisted living facilities for many years, and when it came time to choosing a place for my mother in law, I knew exactly what to look for and what red flags to avoid. I’m so happy to say that I found zero red flags and only good things with Sierra Del Sol! They are very reasonably priced and provide wonderful care for my mother in law! We couldn’t be happier with the care she’s receiving! Thank you so much for a job well done!

After looking for my Dad at many Assisted Living facilities close to my house, some of them very sad, others unaffordable for us, and some just OK, I heard about Sierra del Sol from a neighbor whose parents had been residents there for a long time. The impression was very nice as soon as I stepped through the doors, and even better during the extensive tour I was given. Decision was made quickly, thanks to the professionalism of Tom Kappler, the relation Director. My father just loves it, and so do we: his spacious studio is bright, quiet, clean and welcoming, with a great view on the large private yard. His private little kitchen is all he needs, and just for breakfast, as he loves going the cozy dining room, which honestly is beautiful. He feels like being in a restaurant, and waiters and waitresses are so kind... High five for the service! The made fresh meals from scratch three times a day, there's even a menu if you don't like the choices, and having shared my Dad's meal more then once, we found it very nice. If he needs special assistance some days, there's ALWAYS a caregiver ready to help. My Dad is not so much into activities, but I hear from other guests that they like to go out, or do indoor activities. Finally, I have to highlight the Manager's professionalism: Laure Mendenhall runs this place with competence, efficiency and kindness. She is responsive and addresses questions immediately, fixing material problems immediately. When I walk every day in my dad's residence and studio, I feel happy and have not regretted my choice one single time. And what makes me even happier, is that my Dad often tells me: "you found me a wonderful place"!

My uncle lived there till his passing..he was treated with kindness from all staff..he didn't talk but they managed to communicate.He was very happy there..thank you Sierra Del Sol..

We happened upon SDS when we needed to move my Mom to a 24 hour care Memory Unit, but needed an independent unit for my Dad. A place that would allow them to be close and feel safe, supported. The property is lovely, and every single staff member I have come into contact with in the last two weeks is gracious, kind and friendly. It is not easy working in the senior retirement community business... I know as I worked in it for roughly 4 years as an ED. It is even more difficult working in a memory care unit, where aging loved ones are not the same selves they once were and need a lot of care. You have to give a level of trust, and rely on strangers to take care of your loved one the way you would. My Mom was here for roughly 2 weeks, with supplemental hospice care from the time she moved in, until the time she passed. The team in the memory care unit was always amazing to us, and my Mom. We were not there 24 hours mind you, but I observed the other residents being cared for and looked after by all the staff. My Mom was pretty much incapacitated and relied heavily on the kind and gentle care of the team here. Besides the Wellness Director Jackie, who was knowledgeable and kind, there is one lady in particular who was a standout to me. It was such a stressful time, I can't even for the life of me remember her name... but she had an eastern European accent. I felt as though she always took great care with my Mom, making sure she was comfortable and looked after... especially when we were not there.

My Grandma has lived here for over 3 years and loves the staff. She has always received excellent treatment from everyone there and if there is an issue the staff always takes care of her needs promptly. I want to give a special thanks to the kitchen staff that always provides excellent food. Way to go Sierra Del Sol keep up the good work.
