NORTH CHANDLER PLACE - A CONTINUUM OF CARE COMMUNITY

My mom went to North Chandler Place on 9/28/23. She has a language barrier since she doesn’t speak English too well but the staff there were so kind and patient with her she was able to communicate with them even when I wasn’t there to translate. Office staff, Sergio, Vicki, Alexis were so kind explaining everything and making sure she was comfortable while being in NCP skilled nursing facility . She ended up being a Long Term care patient but the therapy she received helped her well enough we were able to bring her home. The Nurses, CNAs and Kitchen staff, cleaning crew, they all were very helpful and patient with my mom. If she needs to go back to the full time care , North Chandler Place will be our first choice! We can’t thank everyone enough for all they’ve done for us! Everyone works really hard even though they are short staffed…. My mom enjoyed her stay, she loved the food that was served. Loved the fact she could request something else other than what’s on the menu… very accommodating ….

I visit someone in the memory care unit there 2x/week and he is well cared for, but this review is for the man who helped me when my truck wasn't running right. I was leaving my regular visit and as I was driving away my truck seemed to have quite a bit of of resistance when I turned the wheels - enough so that I pulled over and was waiting for someone to come get me. Suddenly, a man on a motorized scooter pulled up and asked me if I was having problems with my truck. I told him someone was coming to get me and he said he was a former mechanic so I explained my problem and his first question was if I had accidentally put it into 4wd, which is EXACTLY what had happened!! I got in and drove my truck a little to make sure that was the problem and I thanked him as he rode away on his scooter, but he was my hero and I just wanted to tell the story because without his help, I would have not only missed my next appointment, but who knows how much it would have cost me to "fix" what turned out to be something simple and stupid on my part (it's easy to get taken advantage of when you are a female who knows nothing about cars). I didn't get his name, but THANK YOU!! (NOTE: If I didn't think the facility warranted a five star rating, I would not have rated it 5 stars just to leave my thank you to the man who was nice enough to help me in the parking lot.:)

N. Chandler Place is run by caring and competent individuals. The campus is beautiful and the new ED and DON are incredible. Don't listen to the bad reviews from disgruntled past employees. I have a family member there who absolutely loves it and is very well cared for.

This establishment was unclean especially the bathroom, the hallways smelled like feces, not one staff member acknowledged me upon entry, and my husbands meds were withheld for over ten hours. The cna’s were understaffed and rude something as simple as asking Jodie for a urinal resulted in an eye roll and slammed doors. He should not have to be in excruciating pain and endure the attitude of unhappy staff. He has three broken extremities and needs help with most movement so we were surprised when it took 45-60min for a response anytime the call button was pushed. After ultimately having to go back to the hospital for any medications we found bugs all over my husband even on his wound gauze! This was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had. I've never felt less cared for, my husband deserves better treatment than that. All of the residents at that facility deserve better treatment. Joann the nurse tried her best to help but to no avail thank you Joann we appreciated your attempts.

This is a great facility with great staff! A bit dated but the care, grounds, and service make up for that! I would highly recommend this campus.
