As a newer employee of The Citadel Senior Living, I must say my experience so far has been outstanding. The team is so welcoming to new employees and residents, they go above and beyond to ensure our residents receive outstanding care and are treated with dignity, respect and compassion. In addition the administrator strives to create a culture where staff and residents thrive. I couldn't be happier serving the community through The Citadel Senior Living.

Hello, i would like to tell you about a wonderful community to reside at. The staff is great and very helpful. Most everything you need can be found here. I cant say enough good about the Citadel. Its a great place to be. Transportation, dining, housekeeping all available onsite. Enjoy the many activities hosted here on a regular basis. Come for a tour, you'll be glad you did.

Bad Place to work at with tones of violations Med Tech/Caregiver - 520 S Higley Rd, Mesa Az 85204 I used to be employed with Citadel Assisted Living. A typical day for me at Citadel was arriving on shift and starting to help several people that were there upstairs downstairs, calling me away from my floor. I didn’t mind helping my coworkers they were so good to me while I was there only talking about some caregivers and med tech not all..I can say we were very understaffed and didn’t get much help from the RCC’s on shift Kendra And Mohammed I always voiced out my issues and concerns about thinks happening in the facility situations they never addressed they would leave always very early and not always resolving certain issues that needed to be addressed like ordering important medical supplies for residents that have been asking for specific machines to help them sleep and breathe in the middle of the night from not correcting or paying attention to certain workers that are not properly trained in passing medication they hire and just put any person on those med carts that have no idea what there doing there training always included prepopping all there medication for the resident they always say “”work smarter not harder”” with is ridiculous and unsafe but what can I say about the wellness director at citadel the nurse would allow unlicensed med tech provide wound care on resident with severe bed, sores tunneling to the bone, a big violation and a lot more with include not properly attending to situations that Include the residents not getting three meals a day or even worse not eating a entire day or ignoring residence asking for help in finances and addressing safty issues and concerns and the director to the entire facility Karina this person is the most nastiest director I’ve ever met I can say I saved 2 residents last week from dien in this facility had to start cpr and have paramedics on the phone while preforming cpr one that was found not responsive in back of a bathroom door and another lady that overdosed on drug from the roommate smoking in the room she know that all hours of the night after they have a issue with the front doors being propped open that any person can go in and out as they please me being a person that got attacked early morning around 3 am by a individual that was on drug or drunk while working there I did let them know did they do anything no they didn’t on the 23 of February we had a all staff meeting were I clocked in a little early about 15 to 30 min keep in mind I wasn’t sitting I was helping out taking food out of Karina’s car and helping do thing while the meeting started got terminated for she stated abusing the time clock lol well they had me working 16 hour shift sometime even more when they didn’t have no one to cover or some o e was running late that was never a issue but they want to wrongfully terminate me for clocking in a little early like what well I let Karina know a lot of important thing that are current happening at the citadel Abusing resident not respecting resident right neglecting extortion happening putting them in danger and a lot more with that the facility is filled with bed bugs and scabbies then when someone moves in they say the resident brought the bugs with them it’s so scary to even work there with all the things I seen and witnessed. I could never work there again wouldn’t want to…. I can say every single time I had the opportunity to speak with the resident family member I would voice out my concerns and let them know there family were not in a good place. Pros The only good thing about citadel Are the lovely Residents you meet and bond there Cons Bad work ethics

I am a Physical therapy provider and I often see residents at this facility. Residents always look happy. It is a welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff, from administration to kitchen to caregivers. The grounds are beautiful and residents are often gathered for fun events in the main lobby. I’ve been to a lot of facilities around the valley and there is definitely something special about Citadel.

Jenn in the leasing office has housed many Veterans for the VA. Her compassion and knowledge has made it such a great place for our veterans to live. Jenn is very awesome and I’d like to thank her for housing Mesa‘s heroes. It’s been a pleasure working with her. Joseph VA Peer Support.
