VILLA HERMOSA

My mother has been a resident at Villa Hermosa for many years. She actually asked me to write this review as she is so happy with some of the changes that are being made. The food has taken a step up in quality, variety and taste; the activities have also taken a step up in sophistication (Met Opera broadcasts and tapa dinners) and the staff seem happier as well. Hope this continues as it makes for very happy residents and a welcoming environment for the new folks.

I’ve worked at Villa Hermosa for almost 11 years and I can’t imagine anywhere I’d rather work. I take great pride in the service and care we deliver to our residents. Our activities are designed to engage and stimulate residents mind, body, and soul so we have something for everyone! The commingled culture ensures that everyone can participate together in all of our activities. If you have the chance I encourage you to visit our community and participate in our great activity line up!

We have been residents of Villa Hermosa for just over a year and love everything about living here. The building, inside and out is beautiful, and the landscaping in the two gardens is lovely. Our apartment is spacious and attractive, and we particularly appreciate the full kitchen and washer and dryer here in our apartment. Villa Hermosa is pet friendly. Many residents have cats and we, along with many others, have small dogs who enjoy the special gated doggie area. The many activities which range from various exercise classes, brain teasers, meditation sessions enrich our lives. And the most important feature we enjoy is the well-skilled staff and friendly, caring atmosphere of staff and residents.

VILLA HERMOSA serves 3 meals daily - breakfast, lunch and dinner - 1,095 meals annually for each resident. My wife and I have been here 1 1/2 years. The meals here are good and have, lately been trending upward - thanks to our new Executive Chef. When we assess Villa Hermosa meals, we always keep in mind that we did not have to: * do the meal planning, * go shopping, * plan the meal, * cook the meal, * serve the meal, * clean up, and then finish it off by putting everything away. It's a lot of dining convenience to not have to do this EVERY day. My wife and I are excellent cooks. We never forget that we certainly had our share of homemade botched meals. So, when the meal choices are not particularly to our likeing at Villa Hermosa, we do not complain on Google, but rather eat one anyway or request a substitue and move on with our lives. In this institutional environment, I have gained 30 lbs., which I needed. The meals must be pretty good.

Villa hermosa is definitely a safe place for your elderly loved ones . Caregivers plus front desk and dinning service is great as well as the food very good food.
