TERRA POINTE MEMORY CARE

Used Terria point for respite care several times. Found the staff to be wonderful. Treated loved one with dignity and compassion. very pleased with the care provided.

Posting on behalf of Sheryl……My Mom became a resident of Terra Pointe in October 2022. When we began this difficult journey, we were overwhelmed and emotional. Then we had our tour with Jennifer, and she instantly made us feel comfortable and put our worries at ease. The facility is beautiful, clean, welcoming, safe and the rooms are peaceful. The thing that stuck out for me and warmed my heart was as we toured Jennifer knew every resident’s name and said something personal to them that made them each smile. I knew then that this was the place for my mom. Andrea and the staff are the absolute best – caring, friendly, knowledgeable and greet our family by name. I love when I visit, and I see the residents and staff in the activities room laughing, smiling, dancing, and singing together. Most important they care for my mother as if she is a member of their own family. I would most definitely recommend Terra Pointe to anyone who has a loved one suffering from Dementia/Alzheimer’s. You will feel at peace that your loved one is in the right place. We call them our “Terra Pointe Angels.” Sheryl Schmidt Daughter

Terra Pointe has been put in a tough position caring for our father. Unfortunately some Anderson family members have their visitation restricted from court orders, doctor(s), guardian and care staff(s) recommendations. With these restrictions, our fathers mental health has improved greatly. Most importantly, the care team at Terra Pointe has shown they sincerely care about our father’s wellbeing. Not allowing family politics affect his lifestyle and healthcare. They all work together to ensure that he’s happy / active member of their community - including the dining staff who willingly fulfill special requests for him! My name is Anne Douglas. I am using my friend's phone to post this review. I am appalled to have experienced first hand, all the lies, and deceptive acts this facility has inflicted upon my sister, who was wrongfully committed, upon myself, and upon our community. Apparently there is financial motive to go to the extent Terra Pointe has gone by making false allegations in police reports and providing false, inaccurate information in letters to the court in attempt to alienate the residents family and friends. Thank God, the lies and inaccurate information easily proven false. The Court has dismissed the Injunctions preventing visitation and these matters are being investigated. They have rummaged through and confiscated my sister personal belongings. I dropped my phone after a visit, and asked if it was found. I was told no. Yet a week later I read in court papers that they found my phone. I do not understand this deception and theft. I have had to purchase a new phone and intend to file a small claims case against Terra Pointe. I am 74 The staff has insulted my intelligence and abused my trust. I would not wish this experience upon an enemy. I certainly would not trust a loved one in their care. I have witnessed neglected residents. My sister was stripped of all privacy and personal rights. Treated as if she were a criminal. Thank God my sister has been removed. I have filed a formal complaint and requested investigation.

My mom has been a resident at Terra Pointe since September 2018. When my sister and I went for our first tour, we met with Eva and Claudia who was wonderful and caring and made us feel very comfortable. When we left, I immediatley said to my sister, "I want this place." The whole facility is well maintained and always clean. The staff is always friendly and caring and they do an outstanding job of taking care of everyone. I can't imagine how hard it must be. I would recommend Terra Pointe to anyone who has a loved one suffering from Alzheimers/Dementia. You will have peace of mind knowing that your loved one is in the right place! Also, they always have yummy cookies when you walk in and Jackson, the resident dog, is there to greet you on the weekdays when he is there!!
