MOUNTAIN VIEW RETIREMENT VILLAGE

We have my mother-in-law at MVRV and it is Wonderful! The staff are Always pleasant and she loves all the food menu items, the activities and all transportation options available. We travel and we are SO Very Thankful to MVRV knowing that she is well taken care of. If your looking for a place for yourself or a loved one see Clyde Nakasone and he will give you a Wonderful tour and treat you so very well.

Mountain View Retirement Village is hands-down one of the prettiest assisted living communities in town! Every time I have visited, the building is clean and the residents are happy. I definitely recommend taking a tour and meeting the awesome care staff! Caylor in Marketing is such a joy to work with! His commitment to the well-being of the residents is felt throughout the community.

If you're thinking of moving into Mountain View, please do not. I moved my mother from Independent Living to Assisted Living knowing that she needed more help with showers, dressing and medication management. 2 showers a week, sounded great, but I found my mom in the same outfit that I had put her in every Sunday. It was habitual, I arrived for a visit and ended up showering and picking out a fresh outfit for her. What was I paying them for? I brought it to their attention with NO change. Immediately I began to search for another place. Not easy to do. Luckily one was available, I had to move quickly. I got her out by the end of the month. only to find out they are still going to charge her the month only because it wasn't 30 days notice. Why should she pay for services not rendered when they weren't rendered when she was there. Go figure?

June Update Now they are charging residents to install safety bars in their units. AND get this charging residents extra for meals even though all residents are on meal plans. Absolutely wrong October Update This review is definitely regarding Mountain View Retirement Village. I read the latest response. I visit frequently and see and hear all the latest info for myself and from residents . You're food has improved but it is most definitely not made from scratch - are you sure you want that statement on the record? Yes you did have a winery tour that the residents paid extra to attend. There is live music periodically. There are still staff issues most recently your maintainence area, office, and continued food service staff. The activities options have not returned to pre pandemic levels. But you did spend 1000s on promotional videos. I'm not attempting to just be negative I'm being a voice for your residents. I would suggest paying less attention to marketing and more on your residents and living up to the marketing promises. And you should know you have many military veteran residents and the fact that you had no recognition of Memorial day was in poor taste. I'm assuming You're planning something for Veterans day . Update August 2022 I saw response from management. I am not the one you need to talk to regarding the sub standard service. Listen to the residents, review the service levels you promise, get the food quality and variety back to where ts should be... June 2022 Unfortunately I've adjusted my rating from 5 to 1. It's time for lawyers. The residents are being ripped off. Understaffed , underskilled ridiculous turnover My Mother has been here for over 3 years. The services, staff turnover, inconsistent food issues have gone on for well over a year. The residents pay for a level of service, activity, and food that they are simply not getting.

As a Home Health Physical Therapist, I have the opportunity to visit many retirement centers in and around the greater Tucson area. I have been coming to Mountain View to treat patients for home health therapy since 2002. I have always been impressed with the layout and cleanliness of the facility. Even more so, I was very impressed by the residents, staff and caregivers whom I came into contact with. From my perspective, the residents are treated with the greatest of respect and dignity. The caregivers are outstanding. They not only assist in the resident's daily needs, but are also involved in following up with exercise programs I have recommended once therapy has concluded. This is a great facility!
