HIGHGATE FLAGSTAFF

A beautiful facility in a stunning setting, with lots of comfortable spaces like a public kitchen, private visiting rooms, and the lovely courtyard. The food is fantastic, and the calendar is full of engaging activities. The staff are loving and attentive. I visit my family member two or three hours almost every day. I've enjoyed the time I've spent with not just my family member, but the residents and staff, and have made several friends.

When we had to move my mom to Arizona from Oklahoma, I felt nervous about the process. When we decided to move mom to Highgate, I was anxious to learn about what assisted living would mean for mom. From day one, I felt heard and supportive by the Highgate team. They made me and my family feel seen and understood. They were responsive when my mom had needs and requests. I would always recommend the Highgate facility in Flagstaff as a nurturing and supportive place for any loved one that needs additional care in living.

The building and grounds are beautiful. The agents selling the place are awesome. The help was abusive for people needing assistance. Kitchen was great, but again if you’re here for assistance the help isn’t there. Mother was left sitting on the toilet needing help to get up for over 30 minutes on a regular basis. Sometimes calls for assistance were never answered. Highgate was so neglectful of residents when asked for a report of calls made by my mother for assistance and the time it took to respond to these calls I was refused the logs. Help is extremely neglectful at night as the staff is allowed to sleep. One of the original residents as of the opening of Highgate said, “ I don’t report anything because it would be worse if I did”. After mother passed a regular shipment of her supplies from Walmart was delivered and Highgate couldn’t locate the delivery. I was out over $260.

Highgate of Flagstaff offers a premium level of care services for its senior residents. This senior living facility is relatively new to Flagstaff and offers a beautiful and modern living atmosphere. As a Medical Social Worker, I have frequent interactions with the service team. The Highgate team members are warm and inviting and have a compassionate and caring nature. Highgate offers engaging social events for their residents and guests along with offering educational opportunities to the community at large. The outdoor patio area is beautiful and provides a serene location for relaxation. In addition, the food and dining ambiance is wonderful. I encourage you to book a walk-through of the grounds in order to personally experience the modern and elegant amenities.

My mother was extremely resistant to the idea of moving, but our family didn't feel it safe for her to remain in her house. Our whole family met with Josh, and it was one of the best experiences we could've asked for. He listened to all our concerns and changed all our perceptions about senior living, so much so that my mother agreed to move in right away. Highgate is a wonderful place and mom talks about all the friends she's made every time we visit.
